On the above date at approximately 0217 hrs., dispatch was notified about a physical domestic altercation at 2327 Hovekamp Road. Upon arrival, it was determined that Daniel J. Gaines (39 yoa from Paducah) took a handgun and struck Angela Brooks(49 yoa from Paducah) in the face and head. It was also determined that Gaines is a convicted felon. Angela Brooks was transported to Baptist due to her extensive injuries. Gaines was lodged at the McCracken County Regional Jail.
