
The world’s best skeet shooters came to St. Joe, Indiana to compete in the Kolar Open this last weekend. Three local shooters participated among the 165.
Gavin Stevenson of the Calvert City Gun Club had a 99/100 in the 410 event to place AA3 and sixth in the Triple Sub age concurrent.
Jody Stevenson of the Calvert City Gun Club had 100/100 in 12g, 100/100 in 20g, and 100/100 in 28g. He placed third overall and senior champion in the 20g event after a long shoot off tie breaker event. Jody was senior runner up in both the 12g and 28g events. His score of 392/400 placed him sixth in the senior division.
Dr. Kenneth Ford, also from the Calvert City Gun Club had 100/100 in the 12g, 100/100 in the 20g, 97/100 in the 28g, and 98/100 in the 410 event. He placed fourth in the senior division in both the 12 and 20g events, 7th in the senior division in the 410 event and he placed sixth in the senior division in doubles with a score of 96/100. His score of 395/400 placed 5th in the senior division high all around.
The winner of the HOA event was Jack Crispin of Ohio won the event with a perfect 500/500.
