
(GREENVILLE, Ky.) — The Marshall County Marshals traveled to face the Muhlenberg County Mustangs on Friday night in a pivotal Week 6 matchup between two Class 5A, District 1 opponents with contrasting trajectories.
The Mustangs entered the contest riding high with a 4-1 record, boasting one of the region’s most balanced attacks. Their offense has been clicking at 30.4 points per game while their defense has been equally impressive, surrendering just 15.4 points per contest.
Marshall County, meanwhile, brought a 2-3 record into hostile territory but carried an explosive offensive unit of their own. The Marshals have been lighting up scoreboards with 28 points per game, though defensive struggles have plagued their season as they’ve allowed 39.2 points per game.
