(PADUCAH, Ky.) — The Merryman House Domestic Crisis Center will host its 11th Annual PaDucky Derby on October 25, 2025, at 3 p.m. at Montgomery Lake within Bob Noble Park Pond in Paducah.
The beloved community event returns with Humana Healthy Horizons in Kentucky serving as presenting sponsor for another year.
The fundraiser features rubber ducks racing down the lake, with each adopted duck representing a chance to win prizes while supporting a vital cause. The grand prize winner will receive $2,500, with second and third place prizes of $1,000 and $500, respectively.
All proceeds from the PaDucky Derby will benefit Merryman House, a non-profit organization providing residential and outreach services to victims of intimate partner abuse and their dependents. The comprehensive advocacy and support center is devoted to helping survivors live free of violence.
“Each duck adopted will go directly to saving, building and changing the lives of those affected by domestic violence,” organizers said in announcing the event.
The organization emphasized that the annual race would not be possible without generous community sponsors and participants. Those interested in learning more about Merryman House’s services or supporting the PaDucky Derby can visit the agency’s website.
The event represents an opportunity for the community to come together for both entertainment and a meaningful cause as Merryman House continues its mission to support domestic violence survivors throughout the region.
