(MURRAY, Ky.) — The Murray State Racers women’s basketball team received their 2025 Missouri Valley Conference championship rings during a special ceremony at Saturday’s football game.

The defending conference champions were introduced to the Roy Stewart Stadium crowd, marking a celebration of their 25-8 season. Each Jostens ring features 16 navy stones, symbolizing each of the team’s 16 conference regular season wins during their championship campaign.

Head Coach Rechelle Turner and the Racers players, coaches and support staff were presented with the commemorative jewelry in front of the home crowd, honoring their historic season that culminated in the program’s first MVC title.

The Racers will begin their title defense with an exhibition game on Monday, November 3, at 7 p.m. at the CFSB Center. The regular season opener is scheduled for a road matchup against Southern Indiana in Evansville on Friday, November 7th. Last season, USI was 23-13 and advanced to the Super 16 round of the Women’s National Invitation Tournament.
