Betty June East, 90 of Benton, Kentucky passed away on Tuesday, October 28, 2025, at Mercy Health – Lourdes Hospital in Paducah, Kentucky.
Born Tuesday, November 6, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Roy Barker and the late Louisa Peck Barker. She was a member of Maple Hill Church of Christ and was a part of the Ladies Quilting Circle in the 60’s and 70’s at Bobby Massey’s house for fellowship and quilt sewing. She worked in the office of Kentucky Dam State Resort Park and retired as the secretary of Sharpe Elementary School.
Surviving are daughter, Jennifer East of Benton, KY, sister, Norma McDougal of Paducah, KY; grandchildren, Easton Edwards of Benton, KY, Ariel Gilmore (Michael) of Knoxville, TN and Toree Parrish (Joe) of Louisville, KY; great grandchildren, Caiden and Hattie Wray Gilmore and Lachlan and Hardin Parrish.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 71 years, Boyce East; her son, Michael East, brothers, Tilmon Barker, Rudy Barker, Ruble Barker and Frank Barker, sisters, Rachel Rickman, Rena Morrison, Allie Lichtenberg, JoAnne Barker and Earlene Hines.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, November 3, 2025 at 2:00 PM at Maple Hill Church of Christ with Tyler Cannon and David Hendrickson officiating.
Burial to follow at Salyers Cemetery.
Visitation will be on Sunday, November 2, 2025 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Collier Funeral Home and on Monday, November 3, 2025 from 11:00 AM until 2:00 PM at Maple Hill Church of Christ.
