(MURRAY, Ky.) — A 24-year-old Illinois man faces multiple charges, including a felony drug possession count, following an early-morning traffic stop in Murray.
Calloway County Sheriff’s deputies pulled over a vehicle on North 12th Street shortly after midnight on November 7, 2025, according to Sheriff Nicky Knight.
The driver, identified as Omar Flores Rodriguez of Berwyn, Illinois, was arrested at the scene after deputies discovered illicit drugs in his possession. Rodriguez was transported to the Calloway County Detention Center.
Rodriguez faces several charges, including:
- Operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol, first offense, with aggravated circumstances
- Possession of an open alcoholic beverage container
- Possession of a controlled substance in the first degree, first offense (cocaine), a Class D felony
- Various traffic offenses
