
(BENTON, Ky.)-The Marshall County Elks Lodge #2707 will host its annual Hoop Shoot free throw competition for local youth on Saturday, December 13, at Benton Elementary School Gymnasium.
The free throw contest is open to girls and boys ages 8-13, with participants’ birthdays required to fall between April 2, 2012, and April 1, 2018. Young athletes will shoot on a 10-foot regulation goal during the competition.
Registration and warm-up activities will begin at 8:30 a.m., with the competition scheduled to start at 9 a.m.
The Elks Hoop Shoot is a national youth program that provides children the opportunity to compete in free throw shooting contests at the local, district, state, and national levels. The program has been promoting sportsmanship and healthy competition among young people for decades.
