(CALLOWAY COUNTY, Ky.) — A Murray man is behind bars after authorities say he stole property and failed to return a borrowed vehicle.
Gregory A. Billington, 40, was arrested on November 19, 2025, on a Calloway County warrant stemming from an incident that occurred the previous day in Kirksey.
According to the Calloway County Sheriff’s Office, Billington allegedly removed lock boxes containing property valued at more than $1,000. Investigators say he also failed to return a vehicle he had borrowed as previously arranged with the owner.
The vehicle was later recovered, and Billington was transported to the Calloway County Detention Center.
He faces charges of theft by unlawful taking between $1,000 and $10,000, a Class D felony, and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.
