Murray State’s Currie-Jelks Named USBWA National Player of the Week

(MURRAY, Ky.)-Murray State’s Sharneece Currie-Jelks has been honored as the United States Basketball Writers Association (USBWA) National Player of the Week, the organization announced.

The recognition marks a significant achievement for Currie-Jelks, who becomes the latest Racer to earn national weekly honors from the prestigious basketball writers’ association.

The USBWA, founded in 1956, is one of the most respected organizations covering college basketball and regularly recognizes outstanding performances by players across the country with its weekly awards.

This national recognition highlights a standout season for the Murray State women’s basketball program and represents a notable individual honor for Currie-Jelks in her collegiate career.
