(DRAFFENVILLE, Ky.) — The Marshall County Lady Marshals began their title defense in impressive fashion Thursday night, defeating the Crittenden County Lady Rockets 55-45 in the opening game of Hoopfest at Reed Conder Gymnasium.
The reigning Region One champions’ Kenzlee Terry led the charge. Terry was named game MVP after pouring in 20 points to pace the Lady Marshals’ offense.
Marshall County used a balanced attack to pull away from the visiting Lady Rockets, who battled throughout the contest but couldn’t overcome the Orange’s firepower.
The Lady Marshals will be at home in again on Saturday at 10:30 a.m. against Decatur-Riverside (TN). The Hendrickson Wealth & Retirement Pregame Show begins at 9:55 a.m. on WCBL Sports and marshallcountydaily.com.
