(CALVERT CITY, Ky.) — The City of Calvert City has announced the winners of its annual Calendar Photo Contest, revealing which images will represent the community throughout 2026.

This year’s competition attracted 255 submissions from residents and visitors eager to showcase the city’s charm through their lenses. Brian Hill captured the cover photo, while 12 other photographers secured monthly spots in the calendar.

“It is beautiful to see Calvert City and our natural resources through the eyes of our residents and visitors,” Mayor Gene Colburn said in a statement. “These photos remind us how much there is to appreciate here, from our neighborhoods to the lake and river that shape our community.”

The contest requires all entries to feature scenes photographed within Calvert City limits or along Kentucky Lake and the Tennessee River, areas that define the community’s identity and natural landscape.

Monthly winners include Suzanne Asaturian (January), Jason Jones (February), Carrie Chandler McLean (March), Wendy Elrod (April), Bill Clapp (May), and Bena Travis (June). The second half of the year features Tony Egbert (July), Barry Travis (August), Jeremy Teague (September and October), Bena Travis (November), and Sue Lester (December).

Thirteen additional photographers received honorable mentions, including Emilia Joy, Dianna Lofton, Bobbie Foust, Teresa Jones, Dawn Eskridge, Gil Arterburn, Catherine Newby, Lynn Bart, Tammie Smith, Mike Harrell, Valerie West, and Amanda Burton.

The 2026 calendars are now available at no cost at Calvert City Hall, Calvert City Shop-O-Rama, Calvert City Food Giant, and Basketcase Florist and Gifts.
