(DRAFFENVILLE, Ky.) — Marshall County High School will welcome a new assistant principal in the new year, with district officials announcing the selection of Kendra Glenn for the position.
Glenn currently leads Calvert City Elementary School as principal and will transition to her new role at the high school starting January 1, 2026. She will fill the position being vacated by Evan Merrick, who is moving up to serve as the school’s principal.
A veteran educator with nearly a quarter-century in the field, Glenn dedicated 17 years to classroom instruction before moving into administrative roles approximately six and a half years ago. She has headed Calvert City Elementary since the fall of 2020.
Her professional credentials include a degree from Murray State University. Beyond her school leadership duties, Glenn contributes to education at the state level through her work with the Kentucky Center for Safe Schools as a consultant and her participation on the State Safety Council of the Kentucky Association of School Administrators.
The incoming principal praised the selection, noting Glenn’s extensive background in school administration and expressing confidence that her abilities align well with the high school’s goals. Plans call for her to begin the transition during the winter break to ensure readiness for the spring semester.
Glenn and her husband Chris have two children who attend Marshall County schools — a son who is a senior at the high school and a daughter in eighth grade at North Marshall Middle School.
