
(MURRAY, Ky.) — A 59-year-old Murray man was arrested Saturday night after deputies discovered firearms in an unoccupied vehicle during an investigation into a suspicious person report.
Calloway County Sheriff’s deputies responded to Wilkerson Drive at approximately 11:00 p.m. on December 27, 2025, following reports of a suspicious individual in the area. Upon arrival, authorities located an unoccupied vehicle and soon after found two males associated with the vehicle.
During the investigation, deputies discovered firearms inside the vehicle. One of the individuals, Jeff S. Richardson, was identified as a convicted felon and taken into custody.
Richardson faces multiple charges, including possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, a Class D felony, as well as possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
According to authorities, Richardson was already out on bond following a Grand Jury indictment in March 2025 on drug trafficking-related charges.
Richardson has been lodged at the Calloway County Detention Center.
