(PADUCAH, Ky.) — Four suspects from three different states are in custody following a coordinated fraud investigation that stretched from western Kentucky to southeastern Missouri, authorities announced Tuesday.

The Paducah Police Department, with assistance from the Charleston, Missouri Police Department, arrested the individuals in connection with identity theft and attempted bank fraud involving tens of thousands of dollars at two local financial institutions.

The investigation began Monday morning when officers responded to a bank in the 2900 block of Broadway after staff reported a woman attempting to withdraw money from an account that did not belong to her. The suspect, identified as 32-year-old Ireaun A. Myles of Dallas, Texas, was found in possession of a fraudulent Alabama driver’s license bearing an account holder’s name. According to police, Myles attempted to withdraw $30,000 from the account.

While officers were still on scene, they observed a vehicle circling the parking lot. The vehicle fled before officers could make contact, but information about it was entered into the Flock Safety Camera System, a license plate recognition network used by law enforcement.

Detectives who took over the investigation discovered that earlier the same day, Myles had attempted to withdraw $9,400 from another Paducah bank using a different fictitious identity.

Using data from the Flock Safety Camera System, detectives tracked the suspect vehicle approximately 60 miles north to Charleston, Missouri. Officers with the Charleston Police Department located the vehicle and arrested three additional suspects: 25-year-old Juwon D. Steward of Yazoo City, Mississippi; 25-year-old Luntavious Bright of Memphis, Tennessee; and 24-year-old Amaya R. Young of Arlington, Texas.

Myles was lodged in the McCracken County Jail facing multiple charges including theft of identity, criminal possession of a forged instrument, two counts of theft by deception, resisting arrest, first-degree possession of methamphetamine, and promoting contraband.

Steward, Bright, and Young were each arrested on warrants charging them with complicity to theft by deception over $1,000 and complicity to theft by deception over $10,000. All three remain in custody at the Mississippi County Detention Center in Charleston.

“The Paducah Police Department would like to thank the Charleston Police Department for their assistance in the investigation,” officials said in a statement.

The incident occurred at 11:01 a.m. on December 30, 2025. The investigation remains ongoing.
