Aaron Arant passed away on Friday, January 2, 2026. He was born on February 25, 1974, in Paducah, Kentucky.

Aaron joined the United States Navy at just 19 years old, a decision that reflected his strong sense of responsibility and independence. After being honorably discharged, he earned his HVAC degree from West Kentucky Community and Technical College and went on to work at Lake Barkley as a Maintenance Mechanic III. Aaron was highly skilled and trusted with complex repairs, and he truly loved what he did—especially the chance to spend his days outdoors doing work he was proud of.

Aaron was known for his calm, laid-back nature. He was a great listener, easy to talk to, and the kind of person people felt comfortable around. He found joy in life’s simple pleasures—nature, music, and especially bluegrass and the Grateful Dead. He had a special love for fish and even enjoyed breeding them. At home, Aaron shared his life with his wife, Courtenay, and their six cats, who were his cherished fur babies.

He is survived by his beloved wife and other half, Courtenay Arant of Cadiz, Kentucky; his father and stepmother, Larry and Lora Arant of Brookport, Illinois; his mother and stepfather, Lynda and Donald Underwood of Cincinnati, Ohio; his sister, Jaime (Sean) Timmons of Kennesaw, Georgia; and his nephew, Ethan Timmons, also of Kennesaw, Georgia.

He was preceded in death by his niece, Devin Timmons.

Aaron’s quiet strength, kind heart, and easygoing spirit will live on in the hearts of those who loved him.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 8, 2026, at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah. Burial will follow at Mt. Carmel Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the service hour at the funeral home.
