
(BENTON, Ky.) — Marshall County Hospital has appointed Steven Luther as its next Chief Executive Officer, the hospital announced today. Luther will assume the role on April 1, 2026.
Luther brings more than a decade of healthcare leadership experience to the position, having previously overseen hospital operations and medical group services. He is recognized in the field for his collaborative approach and focus on patient-centered care.
“On behalf of the Board of Directors, I am pleased to welcome Steven Luther as the new CEO of Marshall County Hospital,” said Lauren Mann, MCH Board Chair. “As a county-owned institution, our hospital is more than just a provider of care—it is a vital, independent asset which belongs to the people of this community.”
Mann expressed confidence that under Luther’s leadership, the hospital will continue to strengthen access to quality care while maintaining its commitment to local stewardship.
Luther holds credentials as a Fellow of the College of Healthcare Executives, a Certified Medical Practice Executive, and a Certified Quality Improvement Associate. He serves on the board of the LOTUS Children’s Advocacy and Sexual Violence Resource Center and was previously recognized as one of VUE magazine’s 40 Under Forty.
“I am honored to step into the role as Chief Executive Officer and to serve Marshall County Hospital,” Luther said. “This hospital exists because of its people—those who provide care, those who support it, and the community that relies on it every day.”
Luther and his wife, Cassandra, have been married for 10 years and have two children, Hailey, 6, and Nathaniel, 3.
The appointment represents a continuation of the hospital’s commitment to community-focused healthcare and independent local governance.
