(CALLOWAY COUNTY, Ky.) — A Hazel man was arrested late Sunday night after deputies serving a warrant discovered him in possession of a firearm, according to the Calloway County Sheriff’s Office.
John R. Thomure, 49, was taken into custody at approximately 11:30 p.m. on January 12, 2026, at a residence on Brandon Road. Deputies had arrived at the location to serve an outstanding warrant when they located Thomure and found him to be in the presence of a firearm.
Thomure was transported to the Calloway County Detention Center, where he was lodged on multiple charges. He faces a Class D felony charge of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, as well as violation of conditional release on a warrant out of Caldwell County.
