(CALVERT CITY, Ky.) — A Gilbertsville woman faces multiple charges following a traffic stop at a local travel center earlier this month.
Angela Michelle Deskins, 43, was arrested on January 15, 2026, after a law enforcement officer spotted suspicious license plates on a vehicle at the Love’s Travel Center in Calvert City.
According to authorities, the officer observed a brown Ford F-250 pickup truck displaying a license plate registered to a white Nissan Altima. When contacted by police, Deskins, who was operating the vehicle, presented only an identification card and could not provide other documentation.
Both Deskins and her passenger told the officer they had recently purchased the vehicle and believed the seller had placed the incorrect plates on the truck. Neither occupant was able to produce proof of insurance for the vehicle.
Deskins was taken into custody and charged with three offenses: operating on a suspended or revoked operator’s license, no registration plates, and failure of non-owner operator to maintain required insurance — second offense.
The incident remains under investigation. No further information has been released at this time.
