(BENTON, Ky.) — The Marshall County Fiscal Court has called a special meeting for Friday, January 30, at 8:00 a.m. to address several pressing items of county business.
Among the key items on the agenda is the awarding of bids for the Buckhorn Bay boat dock project, which has been pending since the court’s previous meeting on January 20. Magistrates will review and potentially approve bids submitted for the construction work.
The court will also consider authorizing the advertisement for bids on a heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) system upgrade at the Judicial Building. County officials have not yet disclosed the estimated cost of the project or specific details about the current system’s deficiencies.
As part of routine business, the fiscal court will review December personnel changes and approve the minutes from their January 20 meeting. Magistrates will also vote on surplus property, budgetary transfers, and payment of county bills.
The meeting agenda includes an executive session to discuss litigation and personnel matters. Kentucky’s Open Meetings Act allows closed sessions for these specific topics.
The special called meeting will be held at the Marshall County Courthouse. Members of the public are welcome to attend the open portions of the session.
