Martha Jean Rogers, 90, of Paducah, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 31, 2026, at her residence.

Martha was born on August 27, 1935, in Paducah, Kentucky, to the late Egbert Wesson and Evelyn Boyette Hollowell. Martha spent her lifetime embracing the joys of her community, friendships, and travel. Martha’s joy for travel was evident as she embarked on many adventures that made many memories. Martha’s talents in the kitchen were renowned; her recipes were made with love. Guests would often find themselves conversing over a meal. Her nurturing spirit extended beyond her home as well. Known for her innate desire to help and take care of people, Martha was an unwavering source of support and tenderness to all who knew her. Though Martha and her beloved husband did not have children of their own, her maternal love knew no bounds. She became the best second mom, an adoring grandma, and a cherished great-grandma to her nieces and nephews. Each child was graced with her attention and affection, their lives immeasurably enriched by her presence. Martha’s love story was one for the ages. She was deeply loved by her devoted husband, a man who showed his adoration in countless ways, not least by ensuring she never had to pump her own gas. Their partnership was one of mutual respect and admiration, setting a beautiful example for all who knew them.

Martha is survived by her loving husband of 72 years, Harold Eugene Rogers of Paducah, and several beloved nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by three sisters, Grace Lewis, Margaret Brase, and Ruth Nelson; four brothers, Wesson Hollowell, James Hollowell, G.W. Hollowell, and Bill Hollowell; and her parents.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, February 6, 2025, at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah with Rev. Bob Martin officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM on Thursday, February 5, 2026, and on Friday, February 6, 2026, from 10:00 AM until the service hour of 11:00 AM at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah.
