(MURRAY, Ky.) — Murray State women’s basketball made a statement Thursday night, dismantling Indiana State 115-67 at the CFSB Center to clinch at least a share of the Missouri Valley Conference regular-season title for the second consecutive year.

Halli Poock led the charge with 27 points on 10-of-18 shooting, continuing a dominant conference season in which she has scored 20 or more points in all but two MVC games and is averaging 25.1 points in league play. Haven Ford contributed 21 points and seven rebounds — grabbing her 500th career rebound in the process — while Keslyn Secrist added 20 points. Sharnecce Currie-Jelks was a force in the paint, finishing with 12 points and 11 rebounds for her program-record 21st double-double of the season.

The Racers, now 25-3 overall and 16-1 in the MVC, wasted little time taking control. Murray State led 27-18 after the first quarter and pushed that margin to 17 by halftime before completely breaking the game open in the third period. The Racers shot a scorching 80 percent from the floor — going 16-of-20 — in a 39-12 third quarter that turned a competitive game into a rout. Braxcynn Baker was instrumental off the bench during that stretch, finishing with 17 points including four three-pointers.

For the game, Murray State shot 56 percent from the field and knocked down 13 three-pointers while outpacing Indiana State 15-5 in fast-break points and converting turnovers into 20 points.

The 115 points represent the program’s highest single-game total this season, narrowly topping the 114 points the Racers scored against the Sycamores earlier this year. Thursday’s win also ties the program’s all-time record for victories in a single season, a mark that was set just one year ago.

Indiana State fell to 9-19 overall and 5-13 in conference play. Clemisha Prackett led the Sycamores with 21 points and 18 rebounds, while Da’Naria Washington added 16 points.

Murray State now turns its attention to Saturday’s regular-season home finale against Evansville, where the Racers will have a chance to claim the MVC title outright. The program will also honor senior Briley Pena during a pregame Senior Day ceremony before tipoff.
