(PADUCAH, Ky.)-A Paducah woman is facing multiple drug and driving charges after sheriff’s detectives pulled her vehicle over Thursday afternoon in McCracken County.

Betty Jo Oliver, 47, was stopped near the intersection of Victor Street and Yarbro Lane on February 26, 2026, after deputies observed her driving in a manner consistent with impairment. What began as a suspected DUI stop quickly escalated when a search of her vehicle turned up marijuana, methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia, and an undisclosed amount of cash that investigators believe was proceeds from illegal drug sales.

Oliver was taken into custody and booked into the McCracken County Regional Jail. She now faces charges of operating a motor vehicle under the influence of drugs or alcohol, trafficking in methamphetamine, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, and failure to notify the Department of Transportation of an address change.

Anyone with information about illegal activity in the area is asked to contact the McCracken County Sheriff’s Office at 270-444-4719 or submit an anonymous tip through West Kentucky Crime Stoppers by calling 270-443-TELL.
