(DRAFFENVILLE, Ky.) — The Marshall County Marshals have punched their ticket to the state tournament after capturing the regional championship, and the entire county will be cheering them on.

The Marshals are set to tip off against their state tournament opponent on Thursday, March 19, at 1:00 p.m. at Rupp Arena in Lexington — one of the most storied venues in college basketball and the traditional home of the KHSAA Sweet 16.

In recognition of the midday game time, Marshall County Schools will be closed on Thursday, March 19, giving students, staff, and families the opportunity to support the team during this milestone run.

“Good luck to our Marshals!” Marshall County Schools Superintendent Bill Thorpe said in announcing the closure.

Go Marshals!
