
KIRKSEY, Ky. — Two people were arrested Monday afternoon following a narcotics investigation by the Calloway County Sheriff’s Office.
Detectives, assisted by Marshall County investigators, took two individuals into custody at a residence on Marigold Drive around 3:00 p.m. on March 9. Authorities located quantities of illicit drugs at the scene.
Jody M. Smith, 62, of Kirksey, and Gracie L. Litchfield, 64, of Murray, were both charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance, First Degree (Second Offense) — Methamphetamine, a Class D felony — along with Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Litchfield faces an additional charge of Possession of Marijuana.
Both individuals were lodged at the Calloway County Detention Center following their arrests.
The Sheriff’s Office noted the arrests were the result of an ongoing narcotics investigation.
