(PADUCAH, Ky.) — A 41-year-old McCracken County man was sentenced to 30 years in prison Tuesday after a jury found him guilty on multiple drug trafficking charges, capping a years-long investigation by local law enforcement.

Jura Dailey was convicted March 31 following a two-day trial on three counts of firearm-enhanced drug trafficking — methamphetamine, cocaine, and marijuana — each charged as a second or subsequent offense. The jury returned guilty verdicts on all counts.

The charges stem from a 2023 narcotics investigation carried out by detectives with the McCracken County Sheriff’s Office. McCracken County Commonwealth’s Attorney Donna Dixon and Assistant Commonwealth’s Attorney Erin Fleischmann prosecuted the case.

Because of Dailey’s prior criminal record and the firearm enhancements attached to each charge, he will not be eligible for probation or parole for a minimum of 20 years.

“This conviction makes it clear McCracken County is not a place where drug traffickers can operate without consequences,” said Ryan Norman of the McCracken County Sheriff’s Office. “We will continue to work tirelessly to identify, investigate, and bring offenders to justice.”

Officials said the case underscores the ongoing partnership between the Sheriff’s Office and the Commonwealth Attorney’s Office in targeting drug trafficking networks operating in the county.

Anyone with information about illegal activity in McCracken County is asked to call the Sheriff’s Office at 270-444-4719 or submit an anonymous tip to West Kentucky Crime Stoppers at 270-443-TELL.
