The outage is being conducted to allow the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) to install new equipment at the Benton substation. Power is expected to be restored within approximately four hours.
Affected areas
Scale Road · Griggstown · Briensburg · Areas north and south of Highway 68 · Fairdealing · The Moors area · Big Bear Highway
Customers are advised to plan accordingly — unplugging sensitive electronics, preparing flashlights or backup lighting, and taking steps to secure any temperature-sensitive food or medications before the outage begins.
